Operations Manager’s Authority and Responsibilities

The Operations Manager (OM) is a nominated person appointed by and responsible to the Accountable Manager. S/he has overall operational responsibility for assuring the highest quality and standards in flight operations, including making decisions and policy changes, which assure the safety and efficiency of the operation, on a day-to-day basis. When appropriate s/he will advise and recommend suggested changes in policy, management and staffing levels appropriate to the organisation structure. The appointee needs to be notified to the relevant Aviation Authority responsible for the aircraft registration (the “Competent Authority”).
