There are many companies offering operational management services to the owners of private aircraft, so why choose ORTAC to manage your aviation requirements?
Your safety is our priority – everything we do, at every operational level, is driven by our focus on keeping you safe in the sky.
Unlike larger operators, ORTAC’s more flexible and efficient structure is able to provide a tailor-made service, to meet each aircraft owner’s particular operational and personal requirements.
ORTAC maintains a 24/7 worldwide operations and despatch team, providing comprehensive, ‘concierge style’ services.
We encourage our clients to think of ORTAC as their in-house flight operations department. From helping you to purchase your aircraft cost-effectively, to ensuring your stringent compliance with safety regulations; from sourcing crew, to maintaining their professional training; from filing flight plans, to providing in-flight weather updates; from organising ground support, to booking hotel accommodation….whatever you need, ORTAC has it covered for you.
With headquarters at Jersey Airport, on the British Channel Island of Jersey , ORTAC is uniquely positioned outside the EU, but sits in the heart of Europe’s busiest private jet hubs, only 30 minutes from London and Paris.
By engaging ORTAC to manage their aircraft, clients effectively shift the principal place of operation of their flight operations to Jersey, without the need to actually base their aircraft there – it can be based anywhere in the world.
Jersey is a highly-regulated and internationally respected off-shore financial centre, which features on the OECD White List and has been assessed by Standard & Poors to have an AAA credit rating. With a long history of political stability, its autonomous structure confers many operational benefits and cost efficiencies on aircraft owners who utilise ORTAC’s services.
One of the added benefits of utilising ORTAC ‘s off-shore base of Jersey as your principal place of operation, is that the pilots and engineers of non-EASA registered aircraft (managed and operated through ORTAC) are able to continue to fly and maintain the aircraft under their existing International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) country licences. This alleviates the cost and time implications of keeping two licences running concurrently, which would be the case, if your principal place of operation was within the EU.
Being able to utilise ICAO licensed engineers means that if you were to have a technical issue, when you are far from your operational base, aircraft downtime is greatly reduced, as there is no need to fly in an engineer with a particular licence.
